Handcrafted in Jingdezhen by Yuanyue, Afterglow is a quiet study in fire, earth, and fading light.

Its low, gently spreading form rises from a small foot into a broad, shallow surface. Inside, finely textured brown and charcoal tones reveal subtle concentric traces of the maker’s hand. Along the exterior, muted terracotta shifts into copper, smoky black, and touches of mineral gold—reminiscent of the last glow lingering on the horizon after sunset.

Rather than dramatic contrast, this piece reveals itself slowly. Turn it in the light and the fire-kissed surface changes from warm red earth to shadowed bronze and charcoal.

Ideal for tea sweets, fruit, or small servings, it can also be appreciated simply as a contemplative object. Each wood-fired piece bears an unrepeatable record of flame, ash, and kiln atmosphere.

暮霞 — 景德鎮柴燒淺盤

來自景德鎮「芫玥」的手工柴燒作品。

舒展而低矮的器形，以柔和弧線從圈足向外延伸。盤內呈現細密而沉靜的褐黑色窯變，隱約可見拉坯留下的同心旋紋；外壁則由赤陶般的暖紅逐漸過渡至銅褐、墨黑與微微的金色火痕，如暮色降臨前留在天際的最後一道霞光。

這件作品的美不在於張揚，而在於火焰留下的細微變化。轉動器物，深淺不同的色層沿著盤緣出現又消失，每一面都有略微不同的表情。

可作茶席上的茶點盤、果盤或小食器，也適合作為日常陳設。柴燒形成的火痕與窯變無法精確重現，因此每一件皆為獨一無二的作品。
